    Transport

Well, if I can get this boat here, I will be able to fish this season. Does anybody have thoughts on getting a bot shipped from OK to MA? I’ve reached out to a couple hotshot drivers, but zero response. Any help here would be appreciated.

I tried to get shipment from CO to NY and only had one taker at ridiculous money. I went and got it for a third of the price.

First quote is at 6G. Finding a truck to tow it home is impossible so far. Second quote came in at $1800. This may be more aggravating than finding the boat to begin with.

That's roughly 1700 miles. At fifteen miles per gallon at 3.50 a gallon that's $400 in gas, which leaves $1400 for at least 25 hours of driving, which breaks down to $56/hr with everything else included. I'd snatch that up.

Enterprise here is the only truck rental I could find and it was select locations only. Give them a call and let them know you want to tow. Uhaul wouldn’t do it.

And we couldn’t set up a one way rental.

most of the rental folks that rent trucks make you sign docs that you wont pull a trailer.

Not to mention the return trip back to Oklahoma (or wherever). I figured around $800 in fuel for round trip. I wouldn’t make that drive pulling a boat for $1800.

Uhauls pull their own trailers all the time, hell I pulled my car all over the country on one of their car trailers. Weird to me they won’t allow a person to tow with it. Sorry I know this doesn’t help just thinking out loud.

I looked at that route myself and found the exact same thing. I did find one and can't remember who, but the price of that was more than paying someone to go get it. I did the drive to Colorado from NY and back in four days. Of course gas was about .50 a gallon less and booking.com saved me a ton on hotel rooms. I wish I could have stayed a bit longer but work schedule didn't permit it.
