    Yep, we have controlled burns here frequently. It is indeed good for the forests, at least in some cases.

    Happens all the time. We let a big one burn just last summer here in Idaho due to no structures threatened up by Bonners, several more in the Frank Church. They were put out eventually by rain and snow storms.

    Yep I remember the great fires of 1989 everything turned black for weeks oh wait the was the Exon Valdez oil spill, been happening ever since there has been oil.

    Honestly though when was the last time we have had forest fires that have caused this kind of issue on such a large scale? This is by far the worse wildfire season they have ever seen and its getting worse every year. Soon this will be more common and folks will be sucking in the smoke and the climate denier kool aid.

    Northern half of the country covered in smoke, the southern half 125 degree heat index. And the experts say these conditions could last for months. Something seems oit of whack ?
