    18 XL ?

    I have a 2003 18XL with 175 johnson & 8" plate. Has anybody tried a 24 tempest plus on a setiup like mine? The rakers blow out so bad under a not all that heavy load that i want to try something else. I tried a buddys 23 tempest plus last summer & it ran well & shot right out of the hole. I bought a 24 tempest plus at a good deal so i thought i'd try on it. Any reason it shouldn't run good on this setup? Thanks guys.

    Glad to see another 18xl. I have a 150 and no plate and spin a Yamaha 25m. I found this to have better performance than the 23m.

    Yep we’ve talked before & yours is the only other 18XL I remember on here. Hopefully the tempest plus does good because I bought it already.
