    lower unit oil question

I have pretty much owned every brand out there at one time or another.
When I changed lower unit oil, it always came out looking just like it went in.
My 2017 L4 200 V-rod, drains black as coal. Every time.
This time I even put some in a jar to see if there was any separation.
    After two days, none.

Is this a common Merc thing? Just curious. thanks.

Yes- and it's more prominent where they're running at elevated heights.

Make sure you're using the Mercury or Quicksilver HIGH PERF lube.

If you would, please take a moment to review the Announcements at the top of the Forum, and be sure to provide the Required Info (serial number) when posting. Thanks!
