    300R Shift actuator failure

    1E081297
Seems there may be a known problem with these. My boat is in the shop waiting for parts. Is there a newer part number that will fix this problem or will it turn into a repeat repair issue?

Took my 250 pro xs to another dealer last night and it was confirmed my shift actuator is out. I was told there is a new part number. He ordered mine last night.

No such thing as "year" when it comes to Mercury. Serial Number and build date.

There were some early shift actuators that had a seal problem, but that was long, long before your engine was built.

The good news is that they're available- and Mercury's parts system automatically supersedes to the latest/greatest part number.

Your dealer can do better if it's really a Shift Actuator. They are available.

I just had my shift actuator replaced last month. My mechanic said the new part looks to be designed differently.
