24 raker original versus 24 tempest plus?

How would the two compare? My rakers blow out bad & thought about trying a 24 tempest plus. I've tried a 23 tempest plus a buddy had but he traded it to his neighbor.

The flared barrel on the tempest plus makes for a better holeshot/less blow out... The even pitches are not as good as the odd pitches.

Mike how do you think it would be on top end? I've never tried a 24 tempest plus on my rig. Thanks.

I never recommend a 24p. Unless it is blueprinted.

    try one if it’s free.

Ok thanks Mike. It’s definitely not free but I got one at a very good price that’s like new. Buddy bought a boat with a 4 stroke & his fury runs better on it he said.

The 24 tempest plus had a great hole shot alone, but I found out the hard way that it won't work with a partner & full tank of gas. No way it will plane out & i've tried every imaginable combination of pvs plugs i can think of.
