    Minn Kota Ultrex Wont Lift Unless I step On It

    When i pull the cable to lift my ultrex it will not unlatch unless unless I put a bit on weight on the top of it with my foot. Is there any way to fix this?

    You either have a twist in the mount or you have problems with the pivot bushings. Take side plates off and they are to the rear of the mount on each side.

    If it’s a newish motor odds are the mount is twisted
    Look inside the front of the mount and if you see scratches/scrapping on the sides of the mount its not straight

    You need to tighten some of the mounting bolts and get the mount to sit straight

    If when the motor is half way deployed you can move the upper mount a lot from side to side you need new bushings and most likely pivots
