Battery question about using different models of batteries in Parallel

The camper is going to come with Brand X, I assume a deep cycle battery. I have a Brand Y deep cycled battery.

Will there be any issues if I connect those two (Different brands) batteries in parallel?

The camper comes with a 370W solar charging system and the refrigerator is 12V.

    Thanks.

I looked at other sources and it has been CLEARLY STATED:
Do NOT connect different batteries in Series or Parallel!
Batteries MUST be Identical Batteries to connect to each other.

Was that from a battery company that wanted you to always buy two batteries. Two different batteries, even different aged batteries, hell maybe even two new battteries will take charges at different levels, as will they discharge differently. Personnally I don't see it as a big deal.

Can you ? Yes Should you ? No What will happen is the older or weaker or lower in spec will pull the newer or higher one down to it's level. It's always best to have matched Batteries, Age, Resv min, CC amps etc. But you CAN if you want. run them.

As long as they are both in good condition and are very close on amp hrs and cranking amps you shouldn't have a problem. Assuming both are lead acid not one gel or AGM and one lead acid battery. I mix batteries in my boat camper and Diesel pickup. I don't replace both batteries at the same time if not needed.
