    Oh dang, I forgot.

    Mike Pence.

We were in the same frat at Hanover. I was a couple of years ahead of Mike, being a junior when he pledged. He moved into the house second term of his frosh year. He was on the second floor with the born agains and I was downstairs with the cool dudes.(No, I wasn't cool, studying too hard to make the cut for med school.) We were all pretty close being in a small frat at a small college but there was some upstairs downstairs tension; Bible study group vs drinkers/partiers. Good times, bad times. Once, he even ratted us out to the admin for having a kegger.

Brothers for life. That's what we pledged back then. Yet, he never once called me for advice when he was in The White House. What's with that?

    I've met several celebrities.

One of my favorite interactions was with Steven Baldwin at an airport in Chicago. He sat next to me at the bar and asked if he could drop his bag next to mine next to the chair between us. Once I recognized him, I said "Sure man, it's Steven right?" He smirked and said yeah. After a few sips into our beers he leans over and starts chatting it up. About 15-20 minutes into our conversation we started talking movies and he asked what my favorite movie was. I told him Spaceballs, then added "Bio-Dome is a close 2nd." He literally did a spit take and laughed. I wasn't kidding, grew up laughing my tail off to it. Still watch it when it's on TV. He talked about how he was in awe working the Usual Suspect crew. Had 2 more beers before my flight started boarding. It was cool to sit with a celebrity and shoot the shit like a friend.

Worst celebrity experience...Jay Leno. So full of himself just plain rude. Tossed money at me since I was below him working at In N Out. That's about all I'm going to say about that.
Been fishin' since I was 5 years old...Thanks Grandpa!

I’ve met a few but nothing worth writing about. I would say the most note worthy thing is that Dwayne Johnson is a very down to earth fellow.

Not counting bass pro types, as I’ve met most of them.

Meet Paul Newman on a Sunday morning during hardship practice at Nelson’s Ledges SCCA race track. He had won D Production at the Atlanta run offs the year before with a TR 6. He was out on Sunday morning trying to get that car dialed in. We were walking past his pit when he pulled in. Asked “How’s it running, Paul?” His reply, “Not worth a damn!”

Mount Union was celebrating “The year of …….” First was the year of the sciences, next year was of the Arts, then the Humanities. I was the head of organizing for the Year of the Social Sciences. We had numerous speakers over the year, culminating in a major speaker. We chose Alex Haley. I picked him up at the airport and escorted him around all day. Nicest guy you’d ever meet.

Mount Union had a major speaker every year. I got to meet Kissinger and President Ford in passing. One year we had David Brinkley. I got to spend several minutes talking one on one with him at the Mount Union President’s home after his speech.

Got to meet several of the top golfers back in the day. Nicklaus, Arnie, etc. Nicklaus is my second cousin’s brother in law, by marriage, so I could at least start the conversation by telling him that was related to Marilyn ……

Meet Willie outside his bus after a concert. My wife even got a kiss!

Saw Elvis gettin' a Mountain Dew out of a pop machine in front of Venable's store back in the 70's. I was high and laughed my ass off. I'm pretty sure it was a redneck impersonating Elvis, now that I think about it.

Played billiards with the band Everclear. I didn't know who they were at the time. They gave my friend and I tickets to their show the next night.
Also met Dion Warwick When I worked at Builders Square. I helped her with 12 ceiling fans. She said was purchasing them for her house in the Caribbean.

I forgot one more. A coworker and myself Met Richard Petty when his private jet landed on the base here for the inaugural race at Homestead. He had his crew get us some STP hats that he signed for us. Still have that hat.
