When it gets really high. Which is really stupid because your odds are better when its low. Like I couldnt use a quick 20M.

Occasionally on a whim. Usually when the jackpot is huge. Even though that doesn't help my odds. As if I can't be bothered when the jackpot is ONLY 100 million or something lol

Maybe $40/year on Mega Millions tickets. Never bought a scratch off ticket.

Sounds like my wife LOL. Outside of that we may buy a Poweerball once a year if it gets close to a billion.

Before I retired, I spent $75-90 a year on PB. Now I hardly ever go into convenience stores and only buy 4-6 tickets a year, even if the jackpot is only $30 million .

I usually buy one or two $4.00 tickets a week, while in line people ahead of me are buying a lot more, $50.00 +. You only need 1 ticket (with the right numbers) to win, its nice to dream, I have a better chance of winning the Bassmaster Classic !

Its a tax on people poor at math. Guess I am bad at math as I buy 2=3 month tops. I watched a guy walk in with couple of 100 dollar bills few weeks ago and while I was waiting to talk to owner he was buying the 50 and 100 dollar scratch offs. Saw him go back into his wallet about 4x. I failed to see the entertainment in that, sure he lost over 500+ he was just scratching the bottom part and handing it to the counter guy or tearing them in half.

But I did win 20K on a two dollar scratch off years ago. 14.5 after taxes, paid off 2 student loans at just over 12k no joke.

I forgot to get a ticket last night. I need some financial advice from the fools game/tax on people that can't do math people.
I'm not sure if I should invest the two dollars I saved or go on a trip to the Bahamas.
Of course I could also buy a half gallon of gas or a loaf of bread.
Now that I've posted this on a public forum, I hope I don't get robbed on my way home tonight.

The odds aren't ridiculous. You have a 50% chance of winning every time you play...either you win or you don't! It all seriousness thought, I do not play the lottery. Nothing against it, its just never been my thing.
