    TZX190 jackplate

Question: does my jackplate height look awefully high? I just raided it to 3in ptp from the closest line. My last Skeeter (zx185c) was setup the same. Same motor and plate, but 3 inches ptp gave me the best performance, but it wasn’t nearly as high. Motor was in the same hole (2nd from the top). Right now, I’m only getting about 5150 - 5200 rpm (before this last little raise) and about 52mph. Motor is strong, no surging or fuel system issues. Just wondering if I need to start way back over from the top line I have drawn which was 5.25 ptp.

I mean it's hard to tell in the pic. On my 04 TZX190 w/ VMax 150 I'm running 2-1/4" PTP right now. What is your water pressure like?

I replaced all the fuel filters and cleaned the O2 sensor last night. O2 was the worst I have ever seen. Housing was almost completely blocked. I went out with 3.25 ptp. First 5ish minutes were about the same. After that, it seemed to have woken up. Constant 5800rpm at 54. I was on the river with my daughter, possibly could have squeezed out 55. I’ll start bringing it back up 1/4 at a time now. I could also use some prop work as mine is serviceable, but does have pretty nice rings. It’s a Yamaha 23m btw.

Forgot to add for shocktech, WP was 20-22 straight, 15-18 in tighter turns so no issue there.
