Some have said that Humminbird has said June but there are 30 days in June.

Can we expect more performance or just bugs fixed?

I don't know that anybody knows what we can expect but, if history is a predictor of what the future holds, each update typically has fixes as well as new functions and improvements.

I am betting with all the new Quest advertising, it will be out soon with an update for operation of them. Hopefully the Mega Live stuff will be in there as well. ICAST is getting close as well!

I got this off a facebook forum: I’m reliably told, coming in July and you can take my word that the interference issues are completely fixed on Apex and Solix

I had a humminbird technical rep tell me this morning that they do have an update coming soon but they could not give a definitive date at this time. I was speaking with them on an unrelated issue and took advantage and asked them about the update.

And what about new megalive 2.0? Do you think it will be released soon? I don't know how many room for improvement there is just with updates... Also there is the rumor that Garmin is coming with a new live transducer in October...

More software with new trolling motor. All we need more stuff to blank up software. How about you focus on stuff already out and get that working. I am for one believe the chart sharing issues between Solix gen1 and Apex has to do with the addition of the vx chips when some of us run the legacy plus cards.

There is not much new as far as boat control. A couple items are new, but ipilot link does 90 percent of the stuff they are talking about already. I did not care for the map sharing before VX so I had maps in each of my units. I think it is too much data going back and fourth. The bad part now is you can’t buy one lake at a time any more. I am using a “legacy map in one unit and not sharing for the time being. I do like the VX maps much better. I will probably use the gift certificates from my birthday to buy another VX. Makes that $200 go down easier. It is only money! When you consider the price of any brand of the new trolling motors another map chip is small potatoes. JMO Bob
PS, I have a gen1 and an Apex. I actually decided to just get the $150 version. I have not seen much extra value in the Premium chip. It looks prettier with the satellite background, but on my lake I have seen nothing spectacular in the shadowing effect. Thought I would also note, I bought the Great planes premium and just ordered the Mid-south for the bow. Both chips had Bull shoals as it is a border waterway. I am sure there are other similar situations that might be a way to get more lakes for the money. Although I may be an outlier because I retired on a large lake and fish it almost 100% of the time.(60,000 acres). Great lakes are probably duplicated with multiple regions as well.
