Well boys I am up early and will be out the door soon for some morning fishing on Beaver lake, but I'll fire up a thread for Day 2.
Pipkens with a 5-12 yesterday, a monster for this tourney!

Good luck fishin', Quill.
There was a time that I didn't fish but I cannot remember it.
Livesay is leading the big bass for the day. 1 pound on Basstrak as of 6:12
Fun event to follow.
Have fun Quill!
Let’s Go Poche!!
.
Gee man should spend more time getting fish tips and less time reading the rule book And he may actually make a cut this year

I watched the mid day report on youtube last night, reminds me of local fishing here but they gotta be 14, catch a lot of 13.5 and 13.75s
Enjoyable to watch, looks like a fun place to fish with plenty of bites.
2018 Ranger RT188 SC Black/115 hp Yamaha SHO 4-stroke; Garmin LVS34 - north
2018 Ranger RT188 DC Black/115 hp Merc Pro XS 4-stroke; Garmin LVS34 - south
14' Mirrorcraft tin boat (ancient) with a 9.9 Mercury 4-stroke, no electronics; catches fish anyway
How many times have you gotten a bite and said "Please be a keeper" Those days when you have to weed through 100 fish to get 5. Fun days of fishing, but stressful on the culling side.
Nice mention on the broadcast of the use of classical biological control for the control of giant salvania using a weevil, Crytobagous salviniae!! Entomologists rock.

You’ve gotta love a tournament where a guy (David Williams) catches a 5 lb’er and moves from the 60’s to 4 place. I could be wrong, but I’d be surprised if we know the winner before the actual Day 4 weigh-in.
Caleb Sumrall is having a nice day. Should be firmly in the cut now.

Does Ronnie Moore get some type of bonus for the fantasy fishing game? Every other word out of his mouth is "fantasy." I'd be drunker than a skunk two hours into Live if I took a drink every time he said it.
Phoenix 721 - Yamaha SHO 250 - 8' Blades
Disapointed no camera with Nixon despite being in the top 10 after day 1 - maybe camera assignments are set in advance.
Have my usual suspects I am pulling for, but it wouldn't hurt my feelings for Hunter Shyrock to win one... don't really know the backstory but i always thought it was odd that one brother (Fletcher) went to MLF and the other to BASS, but I suppose they had thier reasons. Lost all respect for Fletcher when he trash-talked BASS after leaving for MLF - I mean there's a right way and a wrong way to do things... but I digress. So instantly became a fan of his brother lol.
I see my Dark Horse pick Welcher is doing well today, but as mentioned, it only takes one fish to shake things up at this fishery...
Was looking at the AOY standings this year and noticed that its been a tough season on the Canadians. They are always in tbe AOY hunt but as of today none are in the Classic cut by way of points. It's the lowest I have seen them since they made the Elites. Gustafson is in as defending champ by not by points.
Even with the Northern swing coming up its gonna take some strong work to make the Classic. Been a strange year no doubt.

Thanks buddy - If stripers counted I could hang with the Elites today. Caught 4 that were in the 2-3 lb. range.
Some movement in the top 10, Welcher and Sumrall hanging out there now. I have them on my fantasy team so I am glad to see them there.
Poche still hanging around.
I wonder if Sumrall went to Clear lake again today?
