Teeth on unit for securing to gimbal worn out. Can they be replaced?

I have an 8" helix that came with the boat and the teeth on the unit itself are worn down and no matter how much you attempt to tighten it to the mount it will shift. Can they be replaced or anyone have an idea on a fix?

    thanks.

If you're asking about the knob that you screw on to the graph you can order new ones I believe. https://humminbird.johnsonoutdoors.c...obs-helix-8-12 but you can find them cheaper somewhere else I would think.

Used a small triangle shaped file once to deepen the grooves.

Just to update, I contacted humminbird and its a service issue. For my helix 8 g3n it will cost me $227.45 to fix.

Definitely going to rig something up at home!!

How did this damage occur? I hope to avoid this situation! I have had gimbal mounted HB units for a total of about 30 years. I must have been lucky to never have had any fail. Please advise! Bob
