Adhesive to Reattach Rubber Trailer Foot Step to Fiberglass Trailer Fender

The rubber step pad that is on the foot inlet part of my Ranger fiberglass boat trailer has loosened and I have removed it. What adhesive would be good to reattach it to my trailer? I have the original Gorilla glue that I thought I might try. Anyone have any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance,
    Brian

I would think gorilla glue, jb weld super glue, others in the realm would be fine. Main thing will be make sure surfaces and clean. If it were me I would probably put on a liberal amount and then use a cheap paint brush to make sure the surface is covered. Then set on the rubber step and use maybe a brick or something heavy to let it set.

Use a 2x? and some clamps to hold the rubber down while the adhesive sets.

    3M trim adhesive https://www.amazon.com/3M-08090-Supe...5457745&sr=8-7

Clean both parts, tape off the area for over spray. follow directions on the can.

Ranger told me to use Locktite but I was unable to get it to hold reliably.

Going on 6 years with black 3M 5200. Paint it on the fender and rubber with an acid brush like you would rubber cement in light coats. 5200 will remain flexible where most adhesives become brittle and release from all the road vibrations, sun, heat, etc.

I used Weldwood once because that was what I had and it's still stuck 5 or 6 years later.

I used 3m super 77 a week ago. Seems to be doing fine, masked off surrounding areas and once it goes down it sticks.

IC 2000 from Amazon. Rubber infused superglue. It's what Ranger uses.

I used Liquid Nails that I had handy on my old boat over 20 years ago and my son has it now and it's still on.

Used gorilla glue on front step on my ranger last yr and it is still holding tight.I know Ranger uses the loctite 380 but it must not work to good considering all the pads come off.
