    Kayaking the intercostal?

    Thinking about bringing my kayak to Anna Maria Island
    . What equipment is required to kayak in the intercostal?

    I have done fairly well kayak fishing in the ocean. Go in the morning before the winds come up. Caught several Spanish and jacks. Got to paddle with the Tarpon— no luck with hookup. You can do well at the pier if it is back open.

    I have no idea of equipment required.
