    Distance to waypoint question

On my Solix Gen2 at console while driving I could touch a waypoint icon down the lake and there would be a little window I thought (sorry going from memory now...) that would show the distance to said waypoint. I believe the number would decrease as I was moving towards it. Now I have Solix Gen3 and when I choose a waypoint while moving, a distance number will pop up but it does not decrease as I'm driving toward it. What am I missing? Thx for any feedback. Steve

All three SOLIX generations and APEX have the same menus.

When you touch the Chart view, it freezes the map and puts a curser on it. At the bottom of the page there is a distance readout and direction on the left that shows the distance from the position icon to the curser. On the right is the GPS coordinates of the curser.
If you touch a waypoint icon, you get a small box with the waypoint name and depth, plus the above readouts.

GoTo is what to use for navigating to a point or waypoint. Then you get the small box with the countdown distance at the curser position.

Wayne, was out the other day and when I touch the chart screen ahead of the boat there is no distance number that appears on the screen. My last boat which had g2 Solix's worked like you suggested and I used this feature a ton regarding distance to waypoints. Any idea? Hate to do a factory reset already since these are brand new. Thx. The G3 is no different than G1 or G2. Just did this with a G3. I touched the screen where the curser is and the compass direction and distance to the curser is at the lower left where I put the red circle. It shows the curser is 88 degrees magnetic and 385.9 feet from my bow in the garage.

Go to Chart Options>General>Cursor Data and make sure that's checked ON.

Try Chart > Chart Options >General > Cursor Data

That setting is also in Sonar and DI and SI>Sonar Options> Overlays>Curser Data
