    X18 with 150vmax PTP/Pitch suggestions

2006 X18 with an 05 yamaha v150tlr carbureted, 6" cmc plate. Does anyone have any prop suggestions? And or PTP recommendations. Running a powertech TRO4 23p right now. 57-58mph trying to get above 60 - thanks

Where are you on RPM and prop to pad now?

Not sure exactly but I'd guess about 4.5" prop to pad 5800-5900rpm

My Uncle had an 07 X-19 with an 07 150 VMax. He ran a 22" with cupping, running 58 at 5600 on a 6" JP at 1" higher than the transom. Didn't get PTP, but it ran great with great handling and lift.

2021 X 18 with gray 150 PT OFX 23 p prop, about 4" PTP, 6000 rpms and similar speed as you but have hit 60 once and 59+ several times. A Tempest prop gets mentioned a lot on this and other sites as a good prop for these boats. Would love to try one myself but hate to spend the money chasing 1-2 mph when I seldom run wot.

Yamaha props like to run higher, you might get a little more speed if you raise the motor.
