My trolling motor, at times, severely overcorrects when spot lock is on. Is there a remedy?

If you stop the boat manually first then when it isn't moving push spot lock that helps a lot. Also font use in calm conditions

I've also found that if you are moving forward when pushing spot lock push the plus button on your remote 2 times and it won't go crazy and blow everything out ahead of you.

Set your boat scale to -2. If it corrects it you are good to go. If not you have to start with one of the other things. That is the most needed thing on that issue though. The factory reset is 0 and that number seems to reset at times. Erratic (also called hunting) behavior is usually because of that setting. Lower numbers are less aggressive correcting position. JMO Bob
