    High speed orifice #69d unavailable

Hi, been dealing with this rpm limit issue for a year now and think I finally figured it out. Previous owner replaced carb bowls and did not transfer high speed orifice and now unavailable anywhere online. Motor is a J175GLSTA 2003, item #16, pn 0327558. Anyone know what I can do to fix this issue or where I can buy a set of 6? Thank you. *ORIFICE, High speed, #69D - 150. PL, GL, ML Models

Well I looked and have to apologize, I have 69C not 69D orifices. The only thing I have in D are 5 - 71D orifices. Sorry.

If yours is a 175HP then it should take 73D mains/not 69D.....maybe someone with more knowledge of the 60 degree engines can chime in.

Thank you for checking and that one probably makes more sense. I will look for the 73D.

Worst case scenario, I found leaders selling 71d and Crowley selling 76d, is it better to go down to 71 or up to 76? Thanks.

71 too lean...76 way too rich. I would try and find the right ones.

Not recommended. Usually just mess up the flow characteristics of the jet and waller it out unless you have a jig to do it in.

If Twitch doesnt have the 73D orifices, I can send you my 5- 71D orifices and all you have to buy is one additional and you can try and drill em if you dare,,LOL. Something is better than nothing at times I guess. Wont charge you a dime for em....one thing about D series jets are that they usually are a tad bigger than what is stamped on them vs C series which are pretty close to spec so if you drill out the 71's with a 73 drill then a little slop wont hurt I guess. C - D series cannot be interchanged.

I found 72D and 74D, would all of these fit in my carb bowls? And if this is the case I’d rather go higher to be rich than lower to be lean?
