    2016 evinrude etec G1 250hp trim motor

when I trim the motor up and/or down the motor makes a screeching sound. In addition the motor has difficulty tilting and lowering the motor. To me it sounds like the motor is going south Any other thoughts? Does anyone have the part number and best place to purchase a replacement motor if that is indeed what is suspected? thanks

Ok I have found the part at marineengine.com The evinrude OEM part# is 5005254 but says it should be available within 10 days. The site also sells arco and sierra brand parts. Both of those are in stock and available immediately. At the end range of motion (up), the motor squeels and screeches and appears have a difficult time lowering and tilting the motor, so I was thinking the trim motor assy is at fault. Does that sound right or am I missing something?
How would you feel about the arco or sierra brands as a replacement for the motor assy? Is this part hard to change?
    thanks

Have you checked the fluid level? Or tried tightening the tilt tube nut?

Unit has air in it. Trim all the way up but hold the trim button for 20 - 30 seconds after it reaches the highest point. Do this 3 times.
