Are there any tricks to use to make returns stand out more on down imaging? When I have a split screen up they rarely match each other. Down image side has the tiniest specs that are hard to see. I love it for structure but not to ID fish.

Turn the contrast up. I like manual 70%. The bigger the fish the bigger they show up so if they are tiny specs they are probably tiny fish.

Since the DI "cone angle" is a flattened oval, fish are in the beam for a much smaller amount of time - so the returns are shortened to the point of being dots.
