The current Terrova is only 5 or 6 years old. (I think) Perhaps Minn Kota is going to try a brushless motor.

Current terrova is probably 17 years old. Minor changes like transducers and ipilot/link upgrades though oh and they altered the collar to hold a retractable tape to help lift

The electronic upgrades were significantly improved after 2017! Much better spot lock etc. Mechanically there have been some internal changes ,but basically the same functions on that front. It is probably the most durable of MK’s electric steer motors. Brushless might happen, but I am not sure MK thinks it’s a game changer. JMO Bob
