nothing but lots of Pros. When interfaced to a Garmin, Lowrance or Simrad MFD you will see so much more helpful and meaningful information.

I have it and also added a fuel data module so I know EXACTLY how much fuel I have at all times. You can add temperature sensors in your cooler and live wells.

I firmly believe the ability to get all that info off of the NMEA2K network is well worth the expense and effort. I put a NMEA fuel level sender on the boat's fuel tank so now not only do I get fuel tank levels displayed, I get fuel economy and range as well. All the engine data, faults etc are always good to have beyond that.

But then, I like all that techno-geek stuff. :)

It doesn't cost all that much and provides a ton of information. Definitely worth it.
