Reattached compartment lid that has pulled out from boat

I need to reattach a lid that has pulled out from the boat. All the info I find is on redoing the rivets on the lid side but the screws attaching the piano hinge to the front deck are what have pulled out.

Should I fill in those holes with fiberglass and try to screw into that or is there a better way?

If you can reach behind it, through bolts would work best. Second option is to put a piece of backing material that could hold a screw. Lastly, if the back is not accessible, you could fill the holes with Marine Tex which will take a screw if you don’t over tighten. You can even get it in a larger syringe once it’s mixed with the liquid catalyst and depending on the hole size, you might be able to inject it deeper into the hole.
