Engine Run Hours question for Don

I was messing around with my boat Sunday and accidentally left the key in the ignition in "run" position (discovered it today). I have a 4 stroke 200 Proxs Serial # 3B378866. Will this add to the engine run hours? I've searched but cannot validate. Dealer says yes it will add to the 0-749 RPM range hours. Boat has been in the water 1 time for 3 hours total run time to break in, it would be a shame for it to now have 75+ hours showing..

Don can you confirm either way?

I did the same with mine. Don mentioned a zero voltage fault (or something similar) when I was in for annual maintenance. My hours were NOT increased due to the key being left on.

Run time hours don't accrue if engine is not running.

Low voltage faults and potentially killing the battery are the biggest concerns. Obviously not recommended, but normally doesn't cause any permanent problems in TODAY'S engines.
