    Leaf spring replacement

Hi, I'm working on a 2002 Javelin Boat Trailer - replacing the Leaf Springs and bushings. This is a single leaf 26.5 eye to eye. Any ideas where I can find this custom leaf spring? I'm tried EZ trailers from previous post on this and they explained to me that they didn't make this trailer.

thank you all, I was hoping to figure out who else made Javelin Boat trailers back in 2002. Finding OEM parts seems like a long shot. If I have to go the etrailer way and replace it with more common springs I will do that.

Had the mono spring on my Champion trailer.
I personally think this is a goofy design.
I replaced with a normal 4 leaf setup.

Javelin did not make the spring almost certainly. There prolly is a # on the spring if it is still legible. But do yourself a favor and get rid of that mono spring they don't control bounce and rebound near as well as a multi-leaf spring will. The friction in between the multi-leaves helps control the range of motion... at least that is how one of the company engineers are one of the big spring manufacturers explained it to me. I replaced my mono springs with 4 leaf springs and it was far superior.

Determine how your axle is rated. If your have a 3500lb axle then it uses two 1750lb springs.

Tractor Supply carries a wide selection of leaf springs. All you need is the spacing and weight capacity. Their stores are common in VA.

A local spring shop should be able to help you out.

    Example from mine:

They made U-bolts for my trailer axle while I waited.
