    Triton touch pads 😒

Has anyone here made their own replacements for these?

I'm thinking of having some aluminum plate laser cut to fit and ordering some rotary switches and making my own. Looking for advice... does anyone have a schematic for the wiring?

I believe you can buy replacement panels that are a direct replacement of the touch pads on Great Lakes skipper and on eBay.

I just bought the switch conversion kit from C&O Marine. They were not cheap. My existing pressure switches still work and I might be willing to sell them. My '04 has the exact same layout as yours so I'm sure C&O still has some if you just want a drop in replacement. Here are some photos:

I was not able to find anything that was a direct replacement at GLS. But these from C&O are exact.

I have reached out to C&O. They don't have any right now but are on order and will let me know when they have some.

Jasay, Good Luck with that. Maybe yours will come in before mine. Told me should have them in a week, been 2 weeks and no panels yet. The Top Shelf pricing dont reflect Top Shelf service.

This was not an easy install. I had to take the switches apart and use parts of the original to get it to fit. Had to take half my dash apart to get them in and secure. But here they are and yes everything works.

I bought the same switches from C&O did you buy extra parts. I took a look at it today and was wondering how to convert them.

See the photo in post 3. Top photo is OEM. Bottom is what I got from C&O Marine. A 2005 would have been plug and play. On mine, the bezel and pads attach differently.

Do you know if those work for 03? And do you mind sharing a cost? Can PM if you'd like

I didn’t think there were touch pads available on an ‘03? Didn’t they start with the X series? And that was 2004. Regardless, if you have touch pads with all the same controls, the connectors will interchange but the install may not be as simple as plug and play. If you have different controls, you can send a photo to C&O Marine and they will see what is available. Cost for my version, with a silver bezel which I couldn’t use was $650 for both sides.

Seen a few 03 TR20 now that have the touch pads, but the bezels and layout are a little different so I would maybe have to do custom turn switches/panels.

*EDIT* saw on C&O website what looked to be the plates for rotary switches that match the 03 panel layout for the touch pads - will have to call and confirm
