Back in a familiar boat again

Couple weeks ago made a quick trip down to Arkansas near Greer’s Ferry lake to pick up a near mint 1999 518VX with a 200 opti.

Took it down to my guy who does side work yesterday to have a new impeller and some other things installed as well as a general inspection of all the components since it had set for almost 3 years.

Bought it from a widower who’s husband used it in their Florida summer home a few times a year. She said it sat in their garage more than anything and it shows. She said it couldn’t have more than 100 hours on it. It was purchased new from Steve’s boats in Bull shoals. The only paperwork I don’t have for it is the build sheet. Has the nice Ranger fake leather day planner style folder in it with all the documentation such as owners manuals etc etc.

Nice to be back in a Ranger bass boat again. Kinda like coming home after being gone for a long time. So easy to handle and load. Goes where it’s pointed! Lol

I like the colors. I would be very proud to own a boat like that. Arguably the best fishing platform ranger has ever built. Best of luck

Nice rig. Can't wait to boat flip some catfishes on it.

Probably. I think the days of flipping boats is over. Used ones aren’t selling like they were. I kinda like this one so it will be around for a good while.

RJ I’ve got brand new rod holders I’m screwing down onto the top cap. Really nice heavy duty steel. Has a nice cooler in to to keep stink bait in as well.
