    522D and Mercury Pro XS

I'm considering repowering my 522D to a Pro XS 4 Stroke. By chance has anyone done this? Wondering how that 4 stroke will preform with this size of boat?

No it runs fine. I love this boat and plan on keeping it a long time and I'm in a positing to make this move. It has an etec on it now and I want a 4 stroke and warranty.

Mine 2019 522D has a merc 250 4 stroke pro xs. Gets out hole fine. Runs low 60s. All i need on the st clair and Erie. Only way id put a 300 on is if they were the same price. Bought my boat used with the 250 so kinda stuck for a while but its plenty

Thanks Champ. I'm not really concerned with top end, I'm also a Erie guy. I'm more concerned with bottom end for boat control in the rough stuff and getting on plane of course. You run a 4 blade?

Yes sorry Pro xs 4 stroke . Just a 3 blade. Gets out of the hole quick for a large boat. 4 blade might help with staying on plane at slower speeds

I repowered from a 175 Ficht to a Pro xs 200. The Pro xs has a lot of torque and will get your boat moving pretty quick.
