Yes 100%, that's what many people don't get about Christianity.

Do think the method described in Numbers 31 would work, today?

What is your point in asking such a question? are you one of those that likes to plan such things in your dark web postings?

Clearly, I replied to this question in your previous post, and gave you direct reasons why it would not work than and now.

    Rex,
What is your reasoning for posting the same hideous questions every so often under false pretenses?
Is your life so empty and meaningless that you like to waste your time?

You have been given plenty of opportunity and information to make up your own answers and understanding, yet, you seem to avoid all of it while trying to boast in your misery.

Here's what the "rules" of the Bible burn down to - Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. ... Love your neighbor as yourself.

So, Rex, I'll let you answer your own question (if desired) - what do you think - a good guide (or not)?

Do you think the Bible is THE guide? If not, what do you suggest?

Not at all. Plenty of other cultures do not have the Bible and are just as moral. The uniquely Christian things aren’t so great as a matter of fact. I think if you need the Bible to be a good person then you aren’t really a good person to begin with.

Imagine your little kayak without the self propelling paddling, what would you have to guide and steer especially if you don't even have a paddle.
BTW, do you have problems with real boat with real propulsion? and how do you set up your rods for your daily outing without a casting deck?

I believe Rexico and his friends would suggest his favorite read Karl Marx's Das Kapital in its entirety.

It had a pedal drive so rarely need a paddle. I use the rudder to steer. I imagine your little boat has quite a few problems if its little motor goes kaput. How do you steer or move then? I set the rods in their rod holders to store the ones I’m not using at any given point. I can sit or stand to cast.

What culture would you point to? How then do you find what morality is? Are you prescribing moral relativism or do you think morals should be absolute?

I would add that just because a culture might not have the Bible does not mean they established morality and not a higher authority.

If you knew anything about a tournament bass rig, you would not make such a foolish comment, since you have your TM to use if there would be any issues with your motor.
It would be interesting to watch you stand when a ship goes by leaving a 4'+ wake and you are fighting a smallie.

BTW, we have a paddle boat for the kids to play in our pond, and one at the lake house for them to play in our bay.
