    Helix 10 transducer not reading...help!

Just got the boat out of storage and got it back in my garage to check everything out before my son's high school tournament in a couple of days. I have power to both my Helix 10 and 8, but only the 8 seems to be working properly. The 10 won't display and SI, DI or 2D sonar screens, only the map screen. I normally use the 8 as a designated map screen and the 10 for sonar, so this is a big problem.

On the sonar menu page it shows the 10s transducer but it is black, where as the gps for the 10 is white, I'm assuming white means active and black means inactive. I've traced the transducer cord and see no nicks or kinks, so I'm at a loss for what is going on.

I'm going to attach pics of my transducer menu page if that helps. I'd really appreciate any advice as my son fishes in two days

    Thanks in advance,

    WV

    You have Sonar turned off.

Press the Power button and turn Sonar ON.
Or go to the Setup menu and turn Sonar ON.

That doesn't seem to be the issue. I turn it on...no sonar. I turn it off...no sonar.

Does the Network Source menu for Temp show the unit's name?

Check the pins on the transducer cable for corrosion. I just needed to clean mine on my bow unit up.

If they're not corroded. Restore defaults and see if it registers

Figured it out...and the answer is, I'm an idiot. I had the transducer/power/Ethernet plugs switched for each unit. I feel bad wasting your guy's time. Sorry ☹️

You didn't waste our time. You added another answer that nobody had thought of to the library. Glad you got it fixed.
