Not everyone. I had 3 50 ah batteries and quickly realized that they weren’t enough, especially for practice days. Heck , I can run my 100s down into the 50% range on some days.

I have never been below 13.1 volts on either battery.

Also I have noticed the percentage of battery as shown on the app changes, ie the other day when fishing 1 showed 70% and the other showed 35%. Before charging them several hours later on showed 90% and the other showed 70%.

Just trying to verify the math used in post # 6.....SOOO if he was running 2 100 AH at the same load, ie pulling 25ah they would only last 4 hours??? Something doesn't sound right.
If he was running it constantly at 25 ah with a 100ah battery, then yes, 4 hours in ideal conditions.

    100Ah 24V Battery Capacity = 100Ah × 24V = 2400Wh

    100Ah Battery Run Time = 2400Wh / 600W = 4 Hours

we have lots of customers that are very pleased with the 50ah on 24v but they are not for everyone, the majority of the reviews you read are referring to 50ah on 36v which is good for 80% of the average bass fisherman
yes a 50ah will replace a 27 lead acid 12v/24v/36v and all will see some performance increase but also keep in mind, most fisherman do not stop using a lead acid when they should, if you are fishing and your trolling motor slows down you are at or below 50%, and most fisherman will just turn the dial up faster and keep on fishing, so when you say you fished 12 hours on your lead acids you probably was at 50% by 9 or 10 hours
just need to keep that in mind when comparing lithium to lead, you not going to turn up the dial with lithium, if it slows down you are done for the day.

I run 50ah myself on a ghost on a 20ft Phoenix, have fished 12 hours on 24v at 40% and usually end up ay 60% on 36V most tournament days but that's me and how I fish, I have a fiend running 3 12v125ah fishing same lake as me and he can get them down to 40% in 10 hours fishing the same tournament , he is under the age of 30 if that says anything, which is usually the case. younger fisherman generally need more battery

50AH is on the weak side for a 24 volt system, should have got 100Ah

For what it’s worth, I have 2 50 ionics in my boat. 24 volt ultrex and I fish tidal waters with strong current often. Never ran em dead in the 3 yrs I’ve had em. 18 ft champion loaded dual pro charger converted for lithium. Nothing on the circuit but the ultrex. Not saying I haven’t run em down, just never been sitting there with dead batteries

I have 100ah lithium and typically drain them below 50% almost every single time I fish except for quick trips after work in the afternoon. But weekends I burn 50ah no problem. I’ve killed 100ah multiple times over the last 4 going on 5 years. My next set of batteries I will be going over 125ah or more of power as I don’t feel like 100ah is enough power 100% of the time. I never want to kill my batteries. I don’t even want to chance them going dead in a day. Last year I drained them down in about 8 hours of fishing from 100% to 0% while practicing in a legit 25 mph wind in Oneida lake and I was fishing in the teeth of it most of the day. I will say the few other days I have drained them dead it took about 14 hours to do it.

Just as a FYI, the ghost TM will pull 40.1 amps on high, so your old motor isn’t pulling all that much more.

I think the boat weight/drag/ whatever will affect maximum amp pull somewhat. My MG 24 volt pulls 47 amps on 10 in my boat, in the wind. When it's calm it pulls 42 amps. I have a small aluminum boat. (Tracker Classic XL) I rarely use it over 5. On 10 it goes almost 5 mph. My Ionic 50's last....forever. I believe boat size plays a role in that.

No argument from me, makes sense.

Agreed. I mean, I can’t argue that as well. Gambler isn’t a tug boat by any means, but it’s not a 1,000lb Allison either. I’m going to be able to put it in the water in about 2 weeks and give it a true “fishing day” test. Upon the outcome, I’ll have to decide on a trolling motor upgrade, or 100ah upgrade. I am very limited on room for batteries (you can see a little bit of the struggle in the picture I posted). I don’t have to many options for a 36v system.

I run a 24v 50 ah Dakota on my 80 Ultrex and use Spotlock heavily. Never went under 65% in a day.
