    DF140a fuel pump leak

My 2016 DF140a just started putting a sheen on the water while at idle. I found fuel dripping out a hose that runs from the top of the fuel pump and leads out of the front of the engine. I can replicate the leak by pumping the primer bulb. Would this be an issue with the low pressure diaphragm or with the high pressure fuel pump? Thanks for any info!

    Can you replace the hose?

. It wasn’t a leaking hose. Fuel was overflowing the VST and going out the overflow hose. I replaced the float, needle, and seat and it works great now.

The overflow hose usually goes into the crankcase because its actually a vent hose to take gasses away, not liquid.

Was it not going there, or had come out?

Would therefore also be worth checking for fuel in the oil.

No, that hose is routed through pan and leads outside engine. The end of the hose is circled in red and it just drains down the leg in the water.
