Can anyone recommend a good reputable fishing guide for an inshore trip at NC coast? I’m trying to plan a trip to take my son and one of his friends. Would like to catch some reds, drum and whatever else we can hook up on.

I’ve fished with her and it was a good trip. I also started fishing with Bryan Armstrong of Port City Inshore and have had 2 very good trips. Both out of ILM/ Carolina Beach area. I also listened to a podcast recently with Capt Parks out of Oak Island and would give him a shot. Former bass pro and tournament angler that fishes freshwater styles and shallow. Eastern Current was the podcast, something about gold spoons in the title.

Hard to beat scooter in august/September. You’ll have the time of your life
Richard Andrews with Tar Pam guide service. He fishes Pamlico River and sound out of bath area. He will put you on some big reds.
Thanks for all the recommendations, I booked a trip with Scooter Lilly this morning for June 22, Hopefully we can get the fish to cooperate.
Please report back on how the fishing was. Good luck!
We went out with Scooter Lilly yesterday and had a blast, we had to fish around the wind and rain but we got in a full day of catching
red drum, trout, stripers and my son caught one flounder and one hybrid bass, he also had what looked like about a 30” red break him off about 15 feet from the boat and he was very disappointed but that’s fishing. Scooter had us on the fish all day and I would recommend him to anyone wanting to make that trip. I also booked two days with him this morning to try for some bull reds the first week of September. Should be another good time.
Sounds like you had a great day on the water and catching fish with your son. Glad y’all were able to get out even in the rain.
