    Ranger Z519 & Lithium Batteries

I’m thinking about replacing the batteries in my new to me 2019 Z519 with lithium. I’ve read of some people saying their performance and ride were off after removing the weight from the rear and some craziness of adding sand bags or cinder blocks to their boat. Is this just complaining or something I should worry about and potentially not switch? Anyone that switched to lithium have regrets?

Added lithiums to my 520 and removed poles as well. I’ve noticed a little less lift but not much loss if any in speed. Which is good

I have the same boat as you. Switched to 3x 50ah and 1x 125ah lithium batteries. Lost 1-2 mph maybe, holeshot improved, didn't notice any difference in ride. Haven't tried messing with jackplate at all from how it was when I purchased the boat. I'm getting 70mph at just over 6k rpms, loaded pretty heavy in the front and have most soft plastics in rear port compartment.

I bet if you lower your motor a half inch you get your speed back.

I originally tried a tray I believe from lithium hub that was made for 3 50ah, but it would not fit on the port side of the battery compartment. I got a tray for a single 50ah for the starboard side and a tray for 2x of the 50ah Ionic batteries for the port side, that way I didn't have to change around any of the wiring.

I have the same Ionic batteries in transit.
How does the Ranger DualPro 4x15 perform: Do you get a 100% charge ?
Did you use the existing group 31 battery tray or get a custom tray for the 12v x 125ah cranking battery ?

    Thanks

What trays did you find worked best for the 50a batteries?

I ordered the single and double tray from Bass Boat Technologies. I had originally ordered the 3x50 tray and had to return it and reorder, they have great customer service.

The stock dualpro works great and yes 100% charge. I did read somewhere that after 2017/18 they became more adaptable for lithium batteries. I reached out to Ionic before purchasing and they said I should be fine with the charger and it's been working great since.
I used the original group 31 tray it fit perfectly

    Thanks Eric
I did the the same thing:
Ordered one single tray ( one 50ah ) and one double tray ( two 50ah ) ....... from Drewcraft
And will use the existing Group 31 tray for the new 12v x 125ah Cranking battery.

My Ranger Dual Pro ( 4 x 15 ) charger is circa 2012 ...... so I went with the Ionic 4 Bank x 10 amp included in the package

Same boat, 3 x ionic 50ah, 125ah plus got rid of the weight of the dual pro and added a Power Pole Charge.
    Better hole shot, same speed.
My boat runs much better with a Tempest Plus 23p, gain of 2mph over the Fury 23p

I'm curious to what the weight difference is between the Dual Pro and something like PP Charge or even Ionic's 4 bank charger.

I'll have to look into trying out a tempest plus. Like mentioned above I might try lowering my engine slightly and seeing if that helps. I know I should be getting 100-150 more rpm, but I wonder if the tempest overall works better than the fury with that much less weight in the rear. I tried to compensate by moving soft plastics to the rear but all of my tackle is still up front and I always like to leave the rear starboard compartment empty for friends/co-anglers.
