    Grey phoenix

What does Phoenix call the grey color with no flake in it? Anyone have a picture of a boat with this color. I saw one at a fishing event that was grey with red and it was sharp, sharp.

I recommend staying away from the grey gel. It is the hottest color you can imagine in the sun. You can fry an egg on it. Plus it shows every nick and scratch.

I just ordered a grey 721 with black silver pinstripes. Hope it isn’t that hot yikes. My z21 was black and it never really got that hot at all.

Mine is black and doesn’t get near as hot as my buddies grey gel. I think it’s more of the gel thing instead of metal flake. His gets hotter than anything I’ve ever seen. You CANNOT touch it in the summer in the sun.

Man stop killing my dreams! I can see it being hot and showing nicks though.

There are a few options in flat gel gray colors. Charcoal is probably the one you saw, typically the most common. I sell tons of birds in this color. I wouldn’t be afraid of it as long as your putting the slightest bit of effort in to take care of your stuff. It might be hot like most dark colors, but at the end of the day, I’m not standing barefoot on the gel coat while fishing. That’s what the carpeted deck is for. If you like it, order it. Best looking color they have.

    Exclamation

IMG_6121.jpegNot the best quality photo as it’s a photo of a photo. My boat is flat gel except for the pins that are called “steel”. I used “carbon” which is the darker color it’s almost like a black, mix between gray and black. I used “dark charcoal” which is the lighter gray color on my body of the boat. In the photos below the photo of the interior of the boat is dark charcoal. Dark charcoal has been a popular flat gray gel used on boat a lot. I’m sure the gray with red one you saw was probably dark charcoal. Then I have “white” in the swoosh and the hull stripe around the swoosh is “dark gray”. The boat does show a lot of scratches so if you like to have a garage queen for a boat and if small scratches annoy you then you might not want to go with flat gel. But I’ve had this boat for 2 years now and when I order another boat I will get the same colors I like it that much.

that’s charcoal, carbon, and then dark gray in the hull and pinstripes. I get a lot of compliments. You’ll even see my boat in Phoenix videos. Which is a funny story. They told me they messed up my original build and had to redo it. Around the same time this color 721 started showing up in their advertisement videos and magazine articles.

I've had a grey gel (dark and light) 921 since early 2016 and I'm about to order another one. The boat has been awesome and still looks great but it's never made me breakfast, so I'm a little jealous about the fried egg deal I missed out on

Guy on btl this morning from shoreline boat in Oklahoma said a mat grey boat is the worst when it comes to showing scratches and dings. He pretty much said stay away.

I ordered a mat grey 721 with a black silver pinstripes. We’ll see if I come to regret it. Looking back I would have gotten a different color.
