Couple weeks ago Alligator lake in Lake City went down the drain...gone. Every lake I frequent especially in the last month has went down dramatically. The one lake that alarms me is Orange. Its dropping fast. Lack of rain is a big factor but the hundreds of irrigation pivots and the fact that the Suwannee river water shed supplies water to large areas of South Florida is depleting the water table in our area. When the hydrollic pressure gets great enough the sinks will open up and orange will be gone as well. Our only hope is we are predicted to have an above average rainfall this summer. Lets pray it comes before it's too late.
