Power Pole - Stuck in stump

If this ever happens to you -

I had (2) 8' blades get stuck, while fully deployed, in a big submerged log.

PP hydraulics wouldn't move it, Troller couldn't free it, bumped fwd and reverse with OB but worried might remove the power poles and brackets.

Though about swimming it out but people die doing that.

After a few ideas and tries, looped a dock line around pole, it floats. Used 8 oz lure retriever to sink rope down pole, cinched down and holding. Found that must hold PP control in up position while pulling from over top of OB and it eventually broke free. 2nd pole came loose after boat pivoted once one pole was cleared.

I've had them stick in mud a few times, and come free relatively easily. This one was locked in.

I had one get stuck bad in the mud once, my partner and I both went up on the bow and bounced up and down while hitting up which did the trick.

MacGyver!!!! I usually set the poles to soft material wherever I am to avoid this as much as possible.

Put the boat in gear and give it gas. Power Pole claims drive off safe.
I've been stuck in mud and had to use outboard to free it up.
