New trailer for Triton, fiberglass fenders or not

I have to replace my 2011 Triton trailer for my 20xs. Looking at options, aluminum vs C Channel but wondering about the fiberglass fenders. C and O has a couple and I have never owned one with the fiberglass, wanted to hear the pros and cons.

Only issue I've had with glass is a flat tire took out all the lights, wiring and complete fender. Never had that happen with metal fenders.

stainless is what I would get easier to use and replace if a tire blows

Stainless is the best long term option. Aside from a tire taking out a fiberglass fender, it will in time form stress cracks. Just like a boat does.

glass looks great but hard to use as there is only 2-3 tiny places to step on stainless or steel and step where ever you want to

Looks glass. Everything else I think stainless wins.

Stainless. I have glass & had to replace them after some jackwagon hit me (no note of course).

C channel is fine…..I had mine linexed & fish brackish water 3x week. Only rust I have is on running gear & on tool marks.

Well I just looked up Stainless Steel fenders. They ain't cheap. I don't think he mentioned SS fenders but if he has the bucks, they won't rust.

B T W, when a tire comes apart, no fender is guaranteed to survive the results.
