    New to Triton! Having issues

Howdy all...new to Tritons. Had a Procraft for 15 years and sold it last summer. Got the boat itch again! Just got a 2000 TR21 with 225 Johnson from a friend. Boat is in overall decent shape but has sit for a couple years. Brought it home and swapped out all the batteries for new ones. Can't get the motor to crank or the tilt/trim to work on the steering wheel. Tilt/trim works great on the motor but not on the steering wheel. I have checked and rechecked fuses and connections. If I wasn't already bald..I would be pulling my hair out. Anyone have an issue similar to this one?

This may be a stupid question but is the kill switch off? Not sure about your trim/tilt issue.

Yeah I made sure the kill was snapped onto the ignition. I checked voltage at the battery and solenoid. Same on both ends...12.38.
    I'm lost.

Pull the panel & make sure wires are attached to your key ignition. Check to see if voltage are on them before putting back together.

Does it beep when you turn the key switch?

It does not beep when key is turned.

Have you located the master cut off switch in the back compartment?

That should be the ticket. Most likely one for main power (cranking) & one for the trolling motor batteries.

Should be tucked away in the back compartment.

I have an 03 TR186 and mine did not have a master on off for either and your boat is older than mine. I had to add my own Perko and TM on off switch. With the key not beeping, that is where I would start.

Checked last night. My boat isn't equipped with a cut off switch. I only has a 20 amp main fuse. Fuse reads out good. Really hate to take this thing to the dealer, but its looking like a trip is in my future.

If you have 12.38 at the battery side of the solenoid then check to see if you get 12v at the "S" terminal of the solenoid when you turn the key to start, if you get 12v the solenoid is your problem if not then the key switch or the neutral safety switch in the remote control is where to look.

If it was all working good before you changed batteries. Make sure you didn’t miss hooking all the wires back to the post. Positive and negative

Sounds like a bad blinker switch to me.
