G2 Mechanics?

I have a buddy with a G2 and he can't find a mechanic that can tell him whats wrong with his motor. When he goes to take off, sometimes, it acts like it's loading up and won't take off. He may have to try it 2 or 3 times before it'll build enough RPM's to get on plane. Once it get's on plane it runs great but it sucks when he's taking off in a derby and never knowing if it'll take off or not.
Anyone ever have this happen or know a good mechanic someplace? He's willing to travel, within reason, to get it fixed. He's located in west central Indiana. Thanks for any info

Thanks, unfortunately all that tells me is the dealers around us that can’t figure out what the problem is. I’m asking if anyone knows of a knowledgeable G2 mechanic that they trust.

Not sure where you're at in IL but Lake County Watersports in Wacaunda is good with Evinrudes.
