    Is this a deal breaker?

I have been very seriously considering purchasing a 1 year old BassCat from someone 500 miles away. I haven't looked at the boat myself. I did have a friend who was nearby look at it and he found some damage on the transom that has exposed the glass. I have had similar damage myself once or twice, and it was a relatively easy repair. My concern in this case is that the seller didn't know the damage was there, so there's no telling how long the spot has had to absorb water. The seller will have this professionally repaired but I'm worried that this could cause significant issues down the road. Looking for opinions about this.

    Thanks in advance!

I personally wouldn't worry about it that much, pads get dinked up all the time. Have had worse on boats I've bought or when I had 'em, had it fixed or fixed it myself and never had an issue.

Shouldn't be a deal breaker, especially if the seller is willing to have it professionally repaired. Looks like maybe he bumped a rock. I'd go for it if you like everything else.

As others have said, not a deal breaker if everything else checks out to your satisfaction.

I wouldn't be concerned at all with that.

I fixed a spot just like that on my boat. No concerns at all.
