    2017 z18 low top speed

So, I’m looking at buying a 2017 z8 with a 175 Merc. The boat and everything about it looks great. Meticulous records, as well. The only red flag I’m seeing is that the guy says top speed is 52. It was bought from Bass Pro Shops and doesn’t have a jack plate. The prop is a Fury 24. Am I wrong for thinking BPS put a cheap- and probably not correct- prop on it and probably didn’t do a great job of setting the motor up?
    TIA!

I currently run a 23P Tempest. Better lift with Tempest. Fury was 24P from factory and it still ran 62.

would be a red flag and I'd want to run it b4 buying it. even if over propped it should see more than 52.

I have a 2017 with a 175 manual jack plate poles, ultrex 4 battery and lots of tackle. I can get 62 and a little more if I really wanted to. It’s a fury as well. You do need to trim up to get the speed.

Update, fellas- I went and drove the boat. What the guy meant was that HE had only got the boat to 52. The test drive proved nothing wrong. I was hitting 60 at 5500 before I had to slow down for tight bends in the river. All is well. Thanks for the feedback!
