My garage would have a large puddle of water in it, when I launched from a nearby ramp on a dry day. After gatorbacks, only a few drips, no puddles.

Heck i can also attest when i removed my carpeted bunks, i set them aside in the garage since i already had wood for the gatorbak bunks. 4 weeks later I took the carpet off the old bunks and they were still wet.

I have the rubber coated trailer bunks on an xpress hull. They are completely ripping the paint off down to the aluminum. I can't back the boat down any further cause the other issue is the troll motor hitting the bow roller. But no bunks should be pealing paint off.

Has anyone tried to just not carpet the bunks and just use the plastics bunk slides on top of the wood? No carpet, no mess, no water dripping.

Just put gatorbaks on my trailer. Lake is 4 miles from home. Dry floor with gatorbaks, with carpet I'd be brooming water to drain.

I just installed my Gatorbaks and have used them 3 times now with no complaints. As others have said, the boat is dry when you get home.
