    Ignition switch issuefuel

    E225DHLSCM 225 HO 2008
This weekend turned the key a few times to start and got nothing. Fiddled with key in switch a bit and it would start, usually after a couple tries. Should I replace the switch? And if so, what is the part number?
    Thanks in advance.

Doing OK, Fred. Keeping quiet and trying to behave…guiding season is ready to get rolling up here. And the Meister is about a month out from his annual journey to a foreign land…LOL
Thanks for asking and for the info. Hope all is ok with you.

You don't happen to dangle a TON of keys off the boat's key keyring, do you? Chased a bad one once for a friend, the sheer weight of his keys must have worn the switch internals or something to one side ...

Update: new ignition switch did not solve the issue. So with the cowling off, when the key is turned to start, I can hear a clicking noise from the solenoid when the motor doesn’t turn over. When it does turn over and start I do not hear the clicking. All connections appear tight. Time for a new solenoid?

How's battery voltage? Hear the pump run when you turn the key on?

Mike, deduction and desperation aren’t that far apart…
