    2016 RT188 value

I think the time has come to let it go. It just doesn't get used enough and something a little bigger for the family might be in order next year or the year after once my son is a little older. My buddy half serious, half jokingly offered me $18500. I said $20000 with everything included. He said ok. I think it's a fair price. What do y'all think? I have a hard time believing an 8 yr old boat is worth more than that but it's in good shape.

That's a good price depending on options and use amd storage inside or not. You can't really assess a boat like thst without seeing it.

If he took your deal at $20K and you took it as well ..... which it certainly sounds like from your post, in my mind and on my side of things it is a done deal. On something like this, my word has always been good. If it's a deal and you both accepted which you say happened ------ why are you here doing this? Depending on who answers someone will feel they came out on the short end. Why do that with a "buddy"???

The deal is done. Do the paperwork and move on.

It really depends on your electronics and motors. Could be more or could be less. If he is a good friend make the deal and move on to something different!

I only paid $28000 for it new. So it held its value. The motor only had 140 hr on it and I've got 1 hds 12, 2 hds 9 AT and a ghost tm all in the last 2 years. That's the part that holds me back a little.

I sold my 2015 for $18,500 3 months ago. Had a maxum trolling motor and no electronics. I kept them. Problem was the electronics were probably worth $8,000 and nobody was going to pay me $26,000 for it.

My word means a lot to me. You countered with 20K and he accepted your price. IMO a deal was agreed upon between two men.

Sounds like a reasonable deal for both parties. I have two HDS7's and an Ultrex on my loaded 2017 and figure 20K would be what it fetched on a quick sell. I had it out yesterday and it the SC registered 108 hours on the motor.

Me and him agreed on $20000 so that's what it will go for. I was never planning on a changing the price with him. I just wanted some outside opinions. Sounds like I could it on here for more but if I sell it to him I still get to fish out of it until I find something new!

Bravo, a man that honors his word. Our world needs more people who say what they mean and then mean what they say! You may have gotten more for the boat if you went back on your word but we shouldn't put a price on personal integrity as that is priceless.
