    craw worm

    I see this bait a lot in older post on bassmaster like 1990 what is a craw worm?

    I used to live and die by the Hale's Craw Worm. I think I managed to eat them all in the intervening years.

    IIRC, the second generation of the Hale's had a cavity that you could stuff a rattle, Alka-Seltzer chunk, etc into.

    I still use the 1990's original Powerbait craws worms for Carolina rigging. It still works.

    Back in the 80’s/early 90’s WalMart sold a craw worm, IIRC it was made by Renegade. Guy working there told me they were going to quit stocking them, I rode around to every local WM and bought every bag they had. Still probably have a hundred or so left.

    I used to use Gene Larew's Salt Craw's when I couldnt find the Power Baits anymore. I make my own now, saves me money in the long run and I get to enjoy catching on something I made with my son.

    Still have a 1/2 used 100 bag of the black blue craw..... do will in the weeds with them
