Anybody regret going to lithium trolling motor batteries in a XRS from a boat performance standpoint?

Not at all. I have done it in two different xrs. In my current one I am all lithium.

Not at all , very happy , just took a little time balancing the weight.

Lighter is always faster. You might have to make adjustments for balance fore and aft, but when you get it right she’ll be faster. Ill never run lead acids again!
Only thing i regretted was not going over kill. I went with what i needed AH wise and after 8 years they we're on the weak side, but if i would of went overkill the battery would of still be fine at 8 years.
Best money spent on both boats I have , I had my bullet on big o a few weeks ago , intake got blocked and over heated . Had to troll on medium for 5 1/2 hours with my 36 volt ultrex not sure I would make it back to ramp but had plenty of charge left even after fishing 3/4 of day before this happened
Nope

I was contemplating the same change. 21XRD with 36V Ultrex.
I've had several folks say they went with 3 x 12V, others went 1 36V
Any opinions would be appreciated..
I been running 1 36V since 2013. The only downfall is if your battery fails you got nothing, but if one of your 12V dies you got pretty much nothing anyways. The 36V is lighter, takes up less room and you can put all your batteries on the passenger side. To me it makes more sence to go to one battery
I have always done the 12V set up because I know I can get a 12V in any town just to get me by to fish the rest of my trip if a battery fails. With that being said I have a few friends that run 36V and have seen enough to convince me to go 36V. I actually pulled all of my 12V lithiums out last week and am replacing with a single 36 tomorrow. I even run a lithium cranking battery.
