Is this what should be expected from this setup

Last fall I was advised by 21XDC to try a Revolution 4 15P prop to bring my RPMs up into the right range of 5000 - 5500. I ran across a great deal from one of the other members on a Rev 4 17P so I bought it to try. I ended up with getting 5200 RPM at 42 MPH in my 20' Procraft 200 combo. I had a full tank of gas, me, and a trolling motor on board. Prop slip calculated out at 6%. Hole shot is good but I think it can be better once I start drilling out the plastic plugs. I am just double checking to see if this is where the numbers are expected to run with my boat and motor. As far as I know the motor is running good. All the settings and timing has been gone thru recently.

RPM seems low, I would think you should be closer to 5600 at WOT

The plugs pop right out with a small flat head. You need a 15" pitch.

would I gain any RPMs by going to a 17pitch Trophy Plus instead of the 17pitch Rev 4 because it is a smaller diameter.

You don't want a smaller diameter on that style boat and motor combo. You need a low pitch with a large diameter.

IWhen shopping for a 15 pitch rev 4 I ran across a place in Wisconsin "BBlades" and he has a prop testing program and when reading thru the information it started me thinking about the prop to pad measurement. I leveled the boat and motor up and it measured 6 7/8". I made some marks on the lower unit and and took some pictures that I will attach. I have read where the anti cavitation plate should be level to 1 inch above the pad which is pretty close to where it is. I have also read that 3.5" P to P is a good place to start for some of the guys trying to get better performance out of their rig. I can move my motor up 3 holes and get it up to about 4.5". Does anyone have any experience with this?

Make life easy on yourself, install a manuel jack plate so you can the sweet spot quick and easy, suspect on that boat about 4 to 4.5 in

So I added a 4" manual jackplate which puts me about 13" back from the stepped hull pad and have tested and raised it up to 4" prop to pad. I have made some small gains. Porpoising has gotten much better (still there if midrange and trim up any) up to 5300 RPM and 43 MPH. Would like another 300 RPM and know it means a different prop probably. What I am curious about is do I keep going up? Still gettin 15PSI water pressure at WOT trimmed up and not throwing hardly any rooster tail (pretty much lower than bottom of motor). Running a Revolution 4 17 pitch with the plugs out and not blowing out on corners or when coming up on plane. Any opinions?
